The Common Room includes the dining area, a cozy wood stove and a sitting area. You can share adventures with friends, plan the next day’s outing, listen to our 1800 Regina Music Box, or browse through magazines and books relating to the Northern Catskills region. Classic country stairs lead to the guest rooms on the second floor.
A large country kitchen boasts two stoves and a double refrigerator. We can always make room for items you wish to refrigerate. The kitchen is stocked with all the cooking essentials and a joy to work in. You are welcome to use the kitchen, however, please advise us of your intent so we can be sure it is available at the time you need. (There is a grill in the gazebo if you wish to BBQ your meals.) The fridge is always stocked with a variety of beverages for your enjoyment.
The hallway between the guest rooms is a quaint sitting area. A display case showcases souvenirs and items once made in the mills which dotted the banks of the Shinglekill Creek. Framed post cards and memorabilia of Shinglekill Falls fill the walls. In a pinch, this space can accommodate an air bed for one. We have an air mattress, several cots and several “sleep and play” cribs. There is a nominal charge for additional guests to cover meals and laundering expenses. Across this hall is the Queen Room.
