The Menu

All meals are cooked with love and local ingredients whenever possible. Our honey is from Shinglekill Farm, a quick two mile jaunt away in the hamlet of Acra. We use herbs from our garden, eggs & vegetables from local Market vendors, and breads from local bakery See & Be. When placing your reservation please advise us if you are gluten free, vegetarian, vegan, lactose intolerant, have any food allergies, hate onions (or any other ingredients) so we may cater to your specific needs. 

Our garden herbs, a blend of cheeses and fresh eggs are cooked to fluffy perfection. Served with hearty thick-sliced toast and jam. This dish is light and scrumptious. 

Also known as “Toad in the Hole” or “Egg in the Hole”.  Farm fresh eggs and sautéed sweet onions are grilled into the center of thick slices of Italian bread.  This is a favorite of our many return customers.

A frittata is an open faced omelet.  The filling will change depending upon the season and available ingredients.  Some examples are The Caprice: fresh mozzarella, tomatoes & basil. Or The Wild Mushroom: Locally collected Chanterelles’, Pheasant Backs and other ‘shrooms are sautéed with feta & fresh sage. We also have a Meat Lovers that is loaded with Canadian bacon, thick sliced bacon, sausage and Jarlseberg cheese.

These monstrous, plate filling cakes are fluffy, decadent and delicious. Served with homemade fruit syrups or local maple syrup. The pancakes will have seasonal themes as well:  Banana Nut, Apples n’ Spice, Blue Berry, Strawberry, and for the kids (or the sweet tooth), we have outrageous S’more Pancakes. 

We love to create masterpieces in the kitchen and our stuffed french toast fits the bill. Again the choices will be seasonal.  A family favorite is “Oranged French Toast”.  OJ is used in place of milk and the hearty sliced bread is stuffed with orange marmalade and cream cheese. Of course we use farm fresh eggs in the mix.

We are always creating new dishes so our specials can change on a daily basis. We are always happy to make your eggs to order.  For special diets and food restrictions we do request prior notice so we can be sure to have the freshest ingredients available.

What to Expect

Friday-Monday a full, gourmet farm-to-table Family style breakfast is available for $25/person.  Breakfast includes fresh fruit salad, a savory seasonal Frittata or other egg dish, gourmet pancakes or french toast, Jill's famous tri-colored home fries, bacon and/or sausage, toast, juice and coffee or tea. 

Depending on the season you may be treated to some foraged ramps or wild mushrooms. Fresh herbs from the Herb Garden are incorporated into many of the dishes. (You are welcome to snip some if wish to prepare a meal in our kitchen.) Most ingredients are purchased from local farms and bakeries. In the summer months, our pantry is stocked with goods from the Farmers Market which we host on Mondays on the upper lawn. 

Tuesday-Thursday a scrumptious continental Breakfast is offered at $15/person. Continental breakfasts include yogurt, granola, local pastries or bagels, fruit, juice, coffee and tea.

You are welcome to prepare your own breakfast or other meals in the very well stocked and supplied kitchen. Please remember the kitchen is a shared space with other guests and the chef who may be whipping up a feast for other guests.
